Year of generational change
2024 will be the year of a generational change in our business. At the end of July, Martin and Gisela Aurich will hand over the winery after 32 years to their successors Raphael and Christine Burki, who joined the business in August 2023 to ensure a smooth transition.
We see this handover as a natural process in which we treat each other with respect to continue what has been successfully achieved and to allow new things.
Raphael and Christine Burki have Swiss roots and lived in New Zealand for almost ten years until 2023, where they also founded their own winery. Raphael Burki is an experienced oenologist, and both love a style of wine that is characterised by finesse and elegance.
